What happened, and whether the person is safe
A fall, a road injury, violence, a burn, bleeding, an allergy, a bite, something swallowed, an overdose, a dive, heat, or cold. SOSTRIAGE™ by CAREPOI® asks the safety questions first. The story comes after the person is known to be awake and breathing.
01
Falls, traffic, and violence
How it happened, and whether the person is awake. A high-energy traffic injury raises the pace. Where violence is the concern, the line asks whether the person is safe and whether they are alone. That note stays for the next clinician. It is not a public story.
02
Burns, bleeding, allergy, and bites
A burn of the face or a large area, or trouble breathing, raises the pace. Bleeding that did not come from an injury, and bleeding that does not stop. Swelling of the lips, tongue, face, or throat. A bite or a sting, watched for a fast change.
03
Poison, overdose, diving, heat, and cold
Do not give a drink. What, and how long ago, only if it is safe to ask. Overdose opens at emergency pace, with a person on the case. After a dive: breathing, chest pain, confusion, and how long since they left the water. Heat and cold include whether the person is still in that place, and how awake they are.

For the service that answers
These paths give a hospital, an insurer, or an assistance line the same first questions, in the caller’s language. Camera estimates, if a picture is used, stay labelled as estimates. They are not a reason by themselves to send someone home.

The care paths
Every concern has a path. A clinician still signs.
