How available information is combined

The assessment methodology keeps source, context, and uncertainty visible. Device readings, helper counts, conversation details, and experimental estimates remain distinct; missing information stays missing rather than becoming zero.

Ask what is already in the home

Ask what is already in the home

Before anyone is sent to fetch equipment, the call asks what is there: a blood-pressure cuff, a pulse oximeter, a thermometer, a glucose meter, a watch. A reading from the last hour can be said in ordinary words.

A helper can count

02

A helper can count

When a second person is in the room, they can tap once for each breath, or each beat, for thirty seconds. The count is labelled as a helper’s count. It is not dressed up as a monitor.

The phone can take a turn

The phone can take a turn

A short code opens the same call on a phone. A fingertip over the camera and its light can add a pulse. The web conversation does not start again from zero.

What the clinician is allowed to trust

What the clinician is allowed to trust

A device reading and a helper’s count can support the colour. A camera estimate cannot score the contact, and it cannot send anyone home. A missing item is written as not recorded.
